A Safe Space Built for Community

Placer LGBTQ+ Center is a physical space designed to be welcoming, accessible, and affirming for LGBTQ+ people, families, and allies. The Center supports connection, learning, wellness, and mutual support through a mix of structured programs and informal opportunities to gather. The Center is currently open for scheduled programs, meetings, and appointments only.

Whether you are visiting for an event, accessing services, or simply spending time in community, the Center exists to provide a safe, supportive environment where people can feel comfortable, respected, and at ease.

The Center is currently open for scheduled programs, meetings, and appointments only. Please contact us to confirm availability before visiting.

The Center is located in The Gardens business complex near Douglas Blvd and N. Sunrise Blvd. Our office is on the second floor of Building 1100. Elevator access is available in the center of the property, and the Center is listed on the complex directories for easier navigation.

We recommend that first-time visitors arrive a few minutes early until they are familiar with the location.

Our Commitment

Placer LGBTQ+ Center is a safe, affirming, and welcoming space for LGBTQ+ individuals, families, youth, and allies. Everyone who enters the Center plays a role in helping maintain this environment.

By participating in our space, programs, or events, you agree to follow the guidelines below.

What We Expect

We ask all visitors to contribute to a respectful and inclusive environment by:

  • Respecting names, pronouns, identities, and lived experiences. If you are unsure of someone’s pronouns, ask or use neutral language. If a mistake happens, acknowledge it, apologize briefly, and move forward.
  • Using inclusive and affirming language.
  • Practicing consent in all interactions. Everyone has different boundaries. Always ask before engaging physically or sharing personal information.
  • Caring for shared spaces and property.
  • Respecting privacy in peer groups, programs, and conversations.

What Is Not Permitted

To maintain a safe environment, the following are not allowed:

  • Hate speech, harassment, or discrimination
  • Threatening, aggressive, or intimidating behavior
  • Display of offensive symbols, including hate symbols or anti-LGBTQ+ messaging
  • Weapons of any kind
  • Alcohol, cannabis, illegal substances, or drug paraphernalia
  • Smoking or vaping inside the Center

Youth Participation

Youth under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian unless they are participating in a Board-approved youth program.

Accountability

Placer LGBTQ+ Center reserves the right to ask individuals to leave if their behavior does not align with these guidelines.
